Piglet producers are facing challenges
The use of zinc oxide for the treatment of piglet diarrhea by veterinarians is prohibited by law from 30.06.21. Zinc as a pharmacological veterinary drug is questionable due to the development of resistance. High doses of zinc oxide specifically inhibit bacterial growth, but this also reduces the proliferation of beneficial bifido- and lactobacteria in the intestine. A treatment with antibiotics is not an option.
The refined combination of feed additives in AHRHOFF supplements makes it possible to rear piglets without diarrhea, even without high doses of zinc oxide and without antibiotics.
An addition of rapeseed or soybean oil to the diet is generally not necessary any more. The energy metabolism is promoted by the high doses of medium-chain fatty acids and organic acids in our AHRHOFF supplements. They protect the intestines against streptococci, staphylococci, E. colis, salmonella and ileitis (PIA) and ensure a high feed intake. Costly protein feeds can be reduced by adding crystalline amino acids. A positive side effect of the AHRHOFF feeding concept is the reduced excretion of nutrients, which has a valuable effect on the improved performance as well as the material flow balance.
Clex® and Segawean® “Plus” supplements contain medium-chain fatty acids, betaine, inulin and organic acids plus an enzyme complex to optimize gastrointestinal function and increase the efficiency of nutrient utilization.
